- The Period from 1764 up to and including the year 1777 is a period of singular confusion in the Pateley Bridge baptism registers - Although the Reverend Thomas Lambe, minister of the Chapelry was not buried until 14th April 1777 the last entries in his hand are for the year 1774, and even before this date there are some gaps in the register. William Neesom who came to Pateley Bridge around 1775 as his permanent successor [see entry 17th April 1778] - endeavoured to fill the gaps as best he could, but caused a great deal of confusion in doing so.
