- Very hard to read but you can just make out Matthew son of Thomas Lockwood of Heights, Thurstonland Clothier.

- The Lockwood DNA Project @ FTDNA is encouraging other MALE descendants of Matthew Lockwood to test their YDNA to compare with other LOCKWOOD descendants in West Yorkshire so far we have found 3 branches which we can not 100% connect to each other via traditional records but know via YDNA Analysis are all Genetically Related we are trying to fill in the gaps.
Bolton Abbey, Bolton on Dearne & Austonley Branches are all related to each other via BIGY.

Note* In 1787 there is a Matthew Lockwood buried at Kirkburton which states of Heights [?]
I have also considered 2 Matthew Lockwood's baptised in Mirfield !
