- I was contacted by a Descendant of Richard Burrill who believes this Richard is her Ancestor.
Military records do show Richard was in Irleand at the time of the Marriage to Bridget Crowley in 1886.
Occupation of Groom and father's name of Thomas is correct.
Note* 1901 Census state Richard was born c.1865 in Dublin, Ireland.
1911 Census sates Richard was born c.1863 Leeds.
I can see no other Richard Burrill or Burrell in GRO records so have no reason to doubt this is him as it does fit.
I have advised descendants of Richard to do AT DNA and if there is still a Male line YDNA - to compare with Burrill Descendants from Nidderdale they are 5th Cousins to some of those already tested and others via Burrell at a 5th Couisn range do show as a match with each other.
