- There are two baptism's for Mary BROOKES in Pendlebury daughter of James & Martha Brookes he a Veterinary Surgeon.
Looking through the GRO index there are only two births - one for Mary 1849 who I believe is the one in the 1851 Census and one for Mary Ann Dawson Brookes registered in December 1847. As you can see a baptism for Mary Brookes in January 1848 & a Baptism for Mary Ann Dawson Brookes in December 1848. I believe this is an error in one of the Parish records if you look at the first one it appears to be a copy and the baptism has been inserted among 1850 baptisms.
