Via traditional records [most non existent] I can see no evidence that Francis Burrell is the father of either and BIGY DNA Evidence suggests they may not be..
'I think they link Nathan & Phineas to Francis just because they are in the same area ?
DNA: A Descendant of Nathan and another Descendant of Phineas have both conducted BIGY DNA testing - They do not share an SNP with each other that suggests they were Brothers ? [unless one of the BAM files from one is unreadable at that point]. Or the mutation rate is so slow they have been unlucky not to see another SNP marker mutation before the one with the Northumberland Branch.
They need to find another descendant from another branch to do another BIGY test to compare SNP markers at this point.
On the plus side via AT DNA - Descendants of Nathan, Phineas & Alexander do have Autosomal DNA Matches with each other.
