- It is word of mouth that the descendants of Jesse Brooks say that he is Cornelius B Brooks Father.
They state they have letters from 1850 showing evidence of this.
I can find no reference to this myself.
The person named by one descendant b.c 1786 in Anson, North Carolina is also claimed by another BROOKS Cluster from the same area. However their tree is also unproven and a lot of speculation has taken place.
