We find a record for a D Gordon age 28 years and 6 months.
Registered on 5th August 1901 would mean born in February 1873.
Was excluded from the register in 1902 because of arrears. The fee in 1901 was 6 shillings.

This means Donald Robert Gordon can not be the father of both George Alexander Gordon and Kathleen Amy Gordon.
Robert William Gordon also picks up many more Cousin matches within the Nidderdale area than does my Father David Brooks as our Brooks family come from Nidderdale and if they were sharing the same Grandfather they should share more in common matches but they do not other than all cousin matches via the Whincup's.
This makes me believe the father of George Alexander Gordon could have had family connections within the Nidderdale area.
Gordon - YDNA testing has drawn up a blank so far, the closest BIGY SNP marker shows a shared common ancestor to have lived c.1164 [estimated].
