- Coroners Report:
Job Lockwood of Linfit Lane, Kirkburton, Farmer, says desceased was my brother. He was 42 years old and a farmer. We lived together. He was thrashing oats, last Monday. Late that night when I went to bed for the first time he complained of having got a cold. We slept together, he did not disturb me during the night. He has always enjoyed good health.
Last Tuesday morning about 8 o'clock I got up as he said it was time to get up, He slept in bed as he often did when there was nothing particular to do. I came home and ate my dinner and then went upstairs when found desceased face on the floor. I never knew him have any fit or dizziness.
Job Lockwood
Sussanah Lockwood wife of Henry Lockwood of Linfit Lane, Farmers Wife, said I have known desceased all my life, I saw him about dinner time last Monday, he then appeared to be in good health. Last Tuesday afternoon about 3 o'clock I was fetched saw his dead body was cold and stiff. I helped lay him out there was a mark on his right cheek bone.
