- On the marriage of Thomas Carter & Elizabeth Thompson - it states of this parish [Harewood] - There are 2 baptisms in Harewood for an Elizabeth Thompson one on March 14th 1748 daughter of William Thompson & Sarah he a Farmer from Lofthouse.
Also June 14th 1750 daughter of William Thompson & Sarah he a Labourer from Wyke.
In 2010 i thought Wyke & Lofthouse were the ones in Leeds but after an e-mail from David Thompson in 2012 i realise Wyke is actually Wike near Harewood and was told that Lofthouse Farm was on the road to Wike.
