  Notes	A Lockwood family in the US believe this man is their Ancestor. I note the rest of this family are in PA for the 1900 Census. There is a John Lockwood of the correct age in the 1900 Census NY and states he enetered the US in 1892. In the 1900 Census he has a wife Harriet age 41 c.1859 also born in England but arrived in the US in 1875. Children are: Jerry c.1891 [born before John entered the US ?] Samuel c.1893 John c.1895 In the 1905 NY Census he has a wife Annie age 28. Charles Lockwood c.1892 [?] [is this Jeremiah] ? Samuel c.1894 John c.1896 - Raymond c.1903 - Samuel Lockwood c.1889 a Nephew is on the census [states born in US] ? John does have a brother Sam Lockwood b.c 1889 Halifax. 1910 Census: States John and Anna married for 10 years c.1900 so presume Harriet died not long after the 1900 Census. [?] 9 Children 2 have died. Raymond c.1892 [?] [Is this Jeremiah]. Samuel E c.1894 John c.1896 Albert c.1903 [is this Raymond] Edward C c.1907 In the 1915 NY Census all the children are Given the Surname of Meyer ? [surley this is an error]. Jermeiah c.1891 Samuel c.1894 John c.1896 Raymond c.1903 Edward c.1907 Oliver c.1913 1920 Census: John is a Widower. Samuel c.1893 Raymond c.1902 Edward c.1907 Oliver c.1914 1930 Census: John a Widower. Oliver c.1914 Jeremiah death certificate states his Mother is Ann E Ryder. Samuel death certificate states his Mother was Anna Ryder. - Raymond Lockwood Edward Lockwood Marriage Certificate states Mother was Anna Lind Albert Lockwood - Oliver Lockwood death certificate states his Mother was Anna Lind So was Harriet [Ryder]. ? The US family state Mother was Elizabeth Ryder as stated on the death certificate for John Robert Lockwood b.c 1895 NY [so is this John Lockwood b.c 1895 PA] other records inidciate it is [?] I have suggested to the family to do YDNA & AT DNA testing and join the Lockwood DNA Project - do they actually match others with the name of Meyer ?, Lind or Ryder. They all carry the Surname of Lockwood throughout their lives and do state John Lockwood is their father. Updated March 2023
