The majority of work on this tree has been speculated via Books written making assumptions which are disputed and in some cases are in error, I am aware some documents have been accessed and in some written material I have seen for this family would indeed provide evidence that the tree is correct with out a doubt in some places.
One book linked the Rhode Island Lockwood's to those of the Combs, Suffolk branch of Lockwood's.
Before DNA - some researchers disputed this already.

There are two Branches of Lockwood who claim descent via this Abraham Lockwood.
Via YDNA & BIGY we know they both relate to the West Yorkshire, Branch of Lockwood and are not related at all to the Combs, Suffolk branch.
The Lockwood DNA Project are very keen to get more Lockwood men still living who think they stem from this Lockwood Ancestor to help with ongoing research.
We know all Lockwood's that have tested thus far from West Yorkshire, all share a common ancestor with each other from the 1200's.
