- During WW1 (11.12.1915-11.3.1920) Edgar served as private in the 15th (Indian) Division of British Army and was posted to Mesopotamia (Ramadi). He was not awarded any medals other than the standard Victory and British medals (medal roll details: RASC/101 B147) There are no records at Kew in WO364, (2/97).
