*Note a John Stubbs age 34 born in Swineside, Leyburn, Yorkshire and his wife Mary age 37 born in Bouthwaite appear in the same row of cottages next door but one as Joseph & Sally Brooks at West Summerside Cottages. [1861 Census].
John Stubbs is found in the 1851 at Swineside son of Paul Stubbs age 50 born in Middlesmoor & Frances [Stanley] age 50 born at Horsehouse. see PR's Coverham & Horsehouse.
John & Mary Stubbs are at Haverah Park in the 1871 Census [No Children].
I think Mary is Mary Kirkby and they married in Dec 1851 Leyburn 24 515. Mary is found in the 1851 Census at Collins Farm, Bilton cum Harrogate, with William & Alice Wells [Kirkby] marriage Dec 1846 Pateley Bridge 23 563.
In my family tree i have 2 Wells families one is Sarah Brooks, - who i have as my 5x Great Grandfathers [George Brooks] sister and Joseph's half sister the daughter of James BROOKS & Alice HUDSON
At time of writing i am going to research the WELLS family in more depth.
