Knaresborough - Offence Against The Building Bye-Laws.
At the Petty Sessions yesterday - John Brooks of Harrogate builder, was summoned by the Knaresborough Rural District Council for an offence under the Building Bye-Laws. The defendant was about to build some houses for which he submitted plans that were not approved of, and commenced building on some altered plans and was told he was doing so on in own responsibility, as he was erecting houses of a different class without approval, and not in accordance with the By-laws.
Penalty was £3 and costs of 6s 6d and allowed one month to pay.
